What Is It

Dopey Space Invader game. The questions are:
 1) Is it anything like the original? no!
 2) Is it playable                      no!
 3) Do you like it? no!
 4) Is it crap?				yes!

done. easy wasn't it?

I can remember playing this back in '81 on a proper machine in a pinball
parlour thingy-joint. and playing it on me Microbee, VZ, and Apple ][e
8-bit computers around 83-84 era. Never had a C'64 or a Vic-20.

A dopey old 486'33 that my boss was about to throw out. I grabbed it, and
wrote this. For sale: one dopey 486dx33, 4mb, 120mb HD. $50.00. works.

Contains:

 This probably looks more like Galaxon than Space Invaders, though I have tried.

  * The same name as that great gaming company DSI. Dopey Space Invaders.
  *  Scrollable alien DNA
  * in lo-res so that anyone who wears glasses can play without wearing them!
  * 1 to around 25 aliens on the screen. Default is 4, you'll have to change & compile.
  * Your 10-inch think armour plated "XATR" ship
  *  Your ship actually moves.
  * left and right controls. they work.
  * a NICE (not) quit function!
  * Four barriers at the bottom
  *  beady little alien eyes
  *  alien mouths
  * Infinit number of MX-47a ground to air missiles.
  *  Infinit number of levels.
  * No aliens dropping bombs, so it is easier for you to play!
				("ha ha! he couldn't fit the code in...")
  *  On Screen Score
  *  Score
  *  No Joystick control
  * No bips, bops and beeps to annoy the game player.
  * Small blinking mothership in top left hand corner that cannot be destroyed.
                      ("Its the bloody cursor you idiot! geez... who is this moron?"
  * Creepy stinking sticky gooey alien DNA stuff. ("where's that?")
  * umm...? 256 byte compliant.

* '93 Bush Ranger. "Commodore Crusher".   35"tyres, 2"lift, f & r diff locks
                   2.5l Turbo Diesel, 14-speaker stereo.

damn it... one of these must work!

Main aim of game:

Move the ship back and fourth and take out as many alien ships as possible.
The aliens are really dopey, and have no weaponary systems in force. All they
rely on is their speed and agility to avoid your MX-47a ground to surface missiles.

Haven't you seen ID4 yet?

Controls:

Left :         Right <ALT>
Right:         Right <CTRL>
Fire :         Left  <SHIFT>
Quit : Right <SHIFT> ... and no it is not a nice clean CLS quit.
                                      Should have been <ESC> you dopey git.

Music

none.
(couldn't quite fit in the 200 odd K of 44khz samples.)

* Written on a dopey old 486dx'33. Tested ok. No signs of it crashing.
* Tested on a Digital Celebris FX/2,166Mhz, under NT4. No signs of it crashing.

I usually come in at around the last position in these compo's so I wonder
 if anything has changed? Maybe I am just a crap programmer. That must be it.

So, when is this Bootro compo going ahead? (480 bytes to play with.. ye-haa.)
